Audits and Disaster Recovery
The Hard Assets Alliance is regularly audited to ensure compliance with the strictest security standards and prevent unauthorized access.
The internal records of bullion held in storage with us are reconciled with our vaults on a daily basis. In addition, each customer’s inventory is fully audited twice a year by independent auditors from Inspectorate, a Bureau Veritas company.
Our security processes and systems, as well as the digital and physical infrastructure, are reviewed regularly by security consultants to ensure full compliance with the ISAE 3402 standard.
Not only that, our partner Gold Bullion International (GBI), which processes our customers’ bullion orders, has a disaster recovery plan with a 24/7 remote back-up office—allowing uninterrupted operations in case of emergencies.
This system was put to the test in 2012 when Hurricane Sandy shut down power in lower Manhattan, rendering the main offices in that area non-operational. GBI’s back-up office immediately took over and no customer orders were affected or delayed by this disaster.
